Once the exhibition was announced, we couldn't wait to cast our eyes on the unseen images of one of our greatest inspirations. Both Audery Hepburn and her namesake bag exude glamour and sophistication and we knew we had to visit her exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.
The exhibition is a narrative of her wonderful life. From her childhood to on set at the her greatest films and her philanthropic work in Ethiopia. The carefully selected images show you not only the glamourous and well know side to Audrey we've been inspired by, but also the side we've never seen before.
Comprising of photographs shot by Cecil Beaton, Douglas Kirkland, Erwin Blumenfeld and Richard Avedon, the images themselves are works of art, but the subject is also as lovely. Juxtaposing with the professional and beautifully framed images, there are also family photographs that have been donated by her son's and supported by the Audrey Hepburn Estate.
This unmissable exhibition has made us love and respect Audery Hepburn on a whole new level and we feel lucky to have seen such rare and beautiful images.
