Aspinal of London is proud to announce a new collaboration with acclaimed British fashion designer Patrick McDowell, debuted at London Fashion Week in September 2025. The collection brings together a shared commitment to timeless craftsmanship, sustainable practices and the power of British manufacturing. Sixteen bags, a silk scarf, and a pair of black velvet slippers make up the collection, with pieces designed exclusively for the runway and limited-edition styles available to purchase, each finished with a co-branded plaque.
The collaboration grew from a personal connection when Patrick McDowell told Aspinal founder Iain Burton he still treasures a pair of Aspinal slippers bought 15 years ago, a shared appreciation for longevity and quality that sparked the collaboration.
The rose motif, inspired by McDowell's grandmother, the 'Lancashire Rose', shaped both his London Fashion Week show and this collection. Symbolising family values shared by Aspinal, it also recalls the sculpted rose of the Queen Elizabeth II Award for Design, presented to McDowell earlier this year.

The Mayfair is reimagined in four runway styles: harlequin-embroidered velvet, sheer beaded tulle, raffia with silver-finish patent trim, and custom floral silk damask crafted by historic Suffolk silk mill Stephen Walters, producers of the silk for Princess Diana's wedding dress.
Brand ambassadors Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia Spencer will attend in bespoke McDowell designs, created from Suffolk-woven fabrics and tailored in London by McDowell. Their presence highlights the collaboration as a true British success story, uniting heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary design.

The rose motifs are inspired by McDowell's grandmother, the 'Lancashire Rose', influencing both the show's Ready-to-Wear and accessories. This personal inspiration reflects his commitment to family values, a sentiment shared by Aspinal.
The Reworked Vintage Music Box Trunk, crafted from an antique and transformed into a striking runway design, reflects McDowell's belief that true luxury lies in reinvention, a value shared by Aspinal.
