Guest Edit: Toni Tran

Founder of Fashitects, Toni Tran gives us his inside knowledge on what makes a great men's blogger and what Aspinal gifts he would love to find under his tree this Christmas.

You started your blog in 2011 how did you get into blogging and what advice would you give aspiring men's bloggers?

I would say starting a blog was the best accident ever. I was studying Architecture, 6 months in, I decided to posts personal style/ Architecture photos online, next thing you know it opened a new door to the fashion industry. The advice I would give to aspiring men's bloggers would be to be confident as it's the best accessory a man can have. It takes a lot of commitment, time and effort in producing original content that will be consistent and it's a learning journey to explore diversity in mens fashion that is so popular.

What Aspinal of London gift would you most like to find under your tree this Christmas?

I would like the Smooth Green Washbag because I am currently a collector for grooming bags as I am always travelling and it's nice to hold my hair/grooming products in a designer bag like this.

Describe your perfect Christmas.

My perfect Christmas is having the whole family around for dinner, with the warm stove fireplace, music and the good old movies like Home alone. Spending time with your loved ones with a few gifts, traditional christmas crackers, alcoholic beverages and festive canapés is just the icing on the cake.

Which Aspinal of London bag would be your perfect bag and why?

What is a man without his man bag? I love this Small Mount Bag in Nubuck Croc, textures and the size is just practical for every day essentials. What's even better is not only is it stylish, it's handy for every season and a bag for life. It carries my life inside, protects my Cameras, laptops and blogger must haves.

What is the best part of being a Male blogger in the UK?

The best part of being a male blogger in London is giving the city a voice for menswear diversity. I am not a model, but someone people can relate to. The country offers great tailoring, sartorial heritages from generations and the best British manufactures that craft products to perfection.

What Aspinal gift would you want to give to a loved one and why?

I would like to give a loved one this Buckle Bag in Deer Haircalf because girls do love a big bag to fit there essentials in and especially the hair textures and beige is not only my favourite colour but a statement this season.

Do you have any new year's resolutions for 2015?

My New Years resolution is have a more organised schedule and plan in advanced. Take more risks is always on my list each year.
