This month Vogue stepped away from its usual glitz and glamour to bring us a far tougher, more real cover star. Claire Danes appears on the cover in a sharp, tailored leather trench, hands in pockets looking directly at the viewer. She graceful and poised removed from any need of embellishment.
Through her role as the brilliant bipolar CIA agent Carrie Mathison in the hit US TV show Homeland, Claire Danes has become the woman everyone is talking about. Danes has won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series two years running as well as winning herself an Emmy in 2012. She is also a first time mother, having given birth to her son Cyrus on December 17, 2012.
In the recent Vogue shoot Dane is shown with Homeland co-star and Aspinal favourite Damien Lewis in a series of stunning shots. She is every inch the strong modern woman. We feel that in Danes we have found a perfect role model.
