Bond in Motion
Sitting on the London Underground central line on a Wednesday evening making my way home after a long day's work, I picked up a wrinkled newspaper from the empty seat beside me and I was overcome by excitement once I had read Bond is coming to London. Regardless of age, there are many out there that have watched Bond in envy as he took on the world's villains with his witty charm, beautiful Bond girls and the thrill of learning that Bond's gorgeous Aston Martin DB5 comes with an ejector seat!
The London Film Museum is hosting an exhibition with the largest collection of vehicles from the Bond franchise, 50 years of classic Bond cars, transforming planes and one-seated helicopters with machine guns. It doesn't matter at what age you first discovered James Bond, you will always have an appreciation for 007. Sean Connery with his masculine charm, Roger Moore as the ladies' man that every man wanted to be all the way to the modern Pierce Brosnan and the current Daniel Craig, who we all love as Bond.
Auric Goldfinger's 1937 Rolls Royce Phantom III
The London Film Museum beautifully exhibits Auric Goldfinger's 1937 Rolls Royce Phantom III from Goldfinger, the modern day Aston Martin Vanquish from Die Another Day, the remote control BMW 750iL from Tomorrow Never Dies which was every boy's dream, as well as the beautifully maintained Aston Martin DB5.
Aston Martin Vanquish... with rockets like shark teeth!
And if that wasn't enough for Bond fans, Bond in Motion also has a collection of intriguing extras such as personal possessions of James Bond and the very jet pack used by Sean Connery in Thunderball.
