The Olena Pinchuk Foundation has done so much to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS in Ukraine. The support that they have provided for women and children is invaluable and their work is even more vital now as the country is torn apart by war. It is our hope that this initiative will encourage others to become involved in relief efforts and support the Ukrainian people during this challenging period.

Aspinal of London X The Olena Pinchuk Foundation

Supporting charitable causes has always been at the core of Aspinal of London's values, and the brand seeks new charities each year to champion. Following on from the success of last year's Ukraine Crisis Funding Capsule Collection, this spring we are proudly launching our Aspinal of London X The Olena Pinchuk Foundation Collection in collaboration with The Olena Pinchuk Foundation.

Since 2003, The Olena Pinchuk Foundation has fought against AIDs in Ukraine, including, AIDS prevention and sexual education, mentorship, and educational programs to assist young women in achieving professional fulfilment and financial independence. The foundation has proudly been at the vanguard of introducing recognised international humanitarian efforts into Ukraine and shedding light on the previously unnoticed plight of HIV and AIDS sufferers, creating healthcare assistance and long-term support for those who had previously been marginalised. Over the years it has collaborated with a number of high-profile organisations and events, including the Clinton Foundation and Elton John AIDS Foundation, to raise funds for on-going projects. The foundation has also partnered with Sir Elton John and Queen on international charity concerts.

One of the foundation's key initiatives and one for which it is most recognised is the 'Mobile Clinics for HIV-positive Children' project. This project allows doctors, nurses, and volunteers to offer qualified and consistent medical assistance to children who are HIV- positive or born to HIV-positive mothers, who otherwise might not receive care. With the war engulfing Ukraine, the work of these mobile units is now even more vital due to the number of children displaced and transport links affected.

Connected by their mutual charity efforts, Mariya Dykalo and Olena Pinchuk have worked together on a charity partnership for 2023 between Aspinal of London and the Olena Pinchuk Foundation. As a proud Ukrainian, passionate about her country and people, Mariya is a devoted supporter of Ukrainian relief efforts. For the Olena Pinchuk Foundation, she has designed a limited-edition collection of four Aspinal of London accessories. Each piece gives the wearer a meaningful expression of support for the people of Ukraine.

Net proceeds from the sale of products in our Aspinal of London X The Olena Pinchuk Foundation collaboration will go towards supporting The Olena Pinchuk Foundation's 'Mobile Clinics for HIV-positive Children' project in Ukraine.

Silk Scarves

Celebrating the Ukrainian national flower, Mariya has created an original series of art pieces entitled 'Sunflowers for Ukraine'. These artworks have been beautifully translated onto two new silk scarf designs.

The powerful 'Sunflowers & Butterflies' depicts the yellow sunflowers of Ukraine, interspersed with magical blue butterflies, symbolising the resilience of children's spirits and their belief in miracles. The blue and yellow in harmony honour the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

Striking and poignant, 'Blooming in the Darkness' sees the abstract outline of bright yellow sunflowers set against a green and black background. The bold accessory represents the indominable and shining spirit of Ukrainians in the face of the darkness and misery of war.

Keyrings

. Crafted from fine leather, two new keyrings complete the Olena Pinchuk Collaboration. One of the most beloved Aspinal accessories, the keyring can be used for keys or attached to a handbag as a charm.

The Happy Sunflower Keyring showcases the national flower of Ukraine. Understated and elegant, the face of the sunflower symbolises peace, unity, and hope.

The Cuddly Bunny Keyring depicts an illustrated white rabbit, representing the innocence of childhood. A stripy blue and yellow scarf worn around the neck celebrates the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

Mobile clinics for HIV-positive children is one of the most efficient and sustainable Foundation projects. Since 2009 we have delivered qualified medical care to thousands of kids who live in the most remote areas of Ukraine. With the beginning of the full-scale war, the HIV/AIDS landscape has shifted. As never before we need to control the health condition of our little patients, many internally displaced. We are delighted to be able to partner with Aspinal of London to support our project with a stunning collection inspired by Ukrainian symbols of prosperity. This remarkable partnership can bring significant change in the lives of HIV-positive kids.
