Classical Lion Classical Lion
The Classical Lion range is inspired by the 17th Century Italian Renaissance lion from the coat of arms on the Intarsia panel at Santa Maria Novella, Florence. The unusually luminous cobalt blue leather is achieved by individually hand colouring each book with rare shades of ultramarine blue vegetable stains.
Blue Marble Blue Marble
This is one of the classic, timeless, sophisticated designs of Florentine marble paper, featuring deep shades of ultramarine and peacock blue, swirled with honey tones and flecks of antique brown. It works perfectly with either Cobalt blue or Tan leather.
Botanic Garden Botanical Garden
For lovers of gardens, flowers and all things natural, these charming natural history illustrations depict various species of plants, vines, herbs, vegetables and quixotic animals, with accurate Latin script of each botanical illustration. It works perfectly with either Green or Tan leather.
Brown Marble Brown Marble
For lovers of tradition and antiquity, the ochre, amber, and burnt sienna hues of this 'pebble' marble design is a timeless classic. Elegant and sophisticated, this design will always impress.

From an exquisite German Manuscript now archived in Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin. This manuscript features illuminated letters in sepia and gold together with traditional red and blue ink decoration on parchment in various forms of
Gothic script styles of the 15th century

Maritime Chart

Maritime Chart (Travel)
"Whoever has mastery of the high seas exercises great power on land." The Maritime Chart Travel range uses imagery from various important Sea-Charts in Europe's Maritime Age. 1600-1800 saw incessant conflict between England, France, and Holland. These conflicts fro supremacy of the sea were waged in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. This was the age of discovery and colonisation in which many believed 'the special destiny of the English to explore and settle the new lands beyond Europe'. Maritime chart was specifically designed for our stunning Claret leather range.
